Welcome to natHacks 2025! This year, natHacks will be taking place in the Donadeo Innovation Centre for Engineering (9211 116 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1H9) on the 8th floor. Participant teams can solve real-world problems in one of the three tracks: MedTech, EdTech, and EcoTech. 

Each participant must complete this registration form to be eligible for natHacks 2025. Be sure to read and understand the natHacks 2025 rules before proceeding further in this form.

Note that this form is a catch-all for all things natHacks 2025 (except for team formation). You will provide your basic information, have the option to provide demographic information, indicate your interest in attending in-person hackathon content, and applying to receive neurotech and/or peripheral hardware. As such, please be prepared to provide *all* of this information before filling out this form - it will take around 20 minutes to complete.

natHacks DIVISIONS: 

1. Problem Provider Division:

  • For Hackers interested in being matched with a Problem Provider (subject matter experts with a real-world Problem). Participants in this division will work with their assigned team members (assigned by NAT Organizers) and Problem Providers to complete 3 Weekly Development Reports prior to the Hackathon. 

  • Teams will build original solutions to problems in one of the three tracks: MedTech, EdTech, and EcoTech.

  • Attend the virtual Pitch Night on October 17, or watch pitch videos asynchronously to learn about available Problem Providers. More information about Pitch Night to come in future correspondances.

  •  Request placement in the Problem Provider Division using the Problem Interest Form available Pitch Night (October 17, 2025). Please note, placement is not guaranteed.

  • The Hardware Lending Form will open for the Problem Provider division on October 18, and will close on November 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Filling out the hardware lending form does not mean that you will not receive hardware unless you fill out the form; however, filling out the hardware lending form is highly recommended, as giving out hardware to those teams who filled out the hardware lending form will be prioritized. 

2. Standard Division:

  • Form your own team and build original solutions within tracks like MedTech, EdTech, and EcoTech.

  • The Team Formation Form will be open from October 25, 2025 to November 7, 2025 at 11:59 PM, where standard division teams can declare their team members, and the track they will be competing in.

  • The hardware lending form will open for the Standard division on October 18, and it will close on November 3 at 11:59 PM MST. Filling out the hardware lending form does not mean that you will not receive hardware unless you fill out the form; however, filling out the hardware lending form is highly recommended, as giving out hardware to those teams who filled out the hardware lending form will be prioritized.
